Kim Westad is from Sarasota, Florida. She is currently 41 years old. Kim Graduated with a BFA from the fine arts school at The University of Connecticut. Kim started out working as a graphic designer for a few years but she got bored of sitting in front of a computer all day. So Kim took a pottery class suggested by a friend. After taking a pottery class she started doing pottery instead of doing graphic design. Kim has said that she wants to create well crafted, heirloom quality pieces. It is important to her that her pieces are used and enjoyed. She moved to Brooklyn to work with other potters. In that following year Kim worked for people and along side other clay artists.
