As a result, these individuals face torment from fans, media and particularly those who are not fans of their work. This leaves room of criticism as well as unwanted labels. On March 7, 2016 the reality TV scarlet released yet another a nude selfie she posted via twitter 13 weeks after giving birth to her second child. The first nude happened on August 11, 2015 when the reality star revealed a nude selfie in a bathroom, showing off her baby bump via Instagram in response to rumors of a fake pregnancy. Although some were shocked by her deviant behavior, others like myself were not due to the label the media has placed on her image. In this paper I will examine how Kim Kardashian’s deviant act is a result of the Labeling Theory. In addition, will analyze and discuss how she became deviant, how she took on her personal identity as a deviant and how her deviant behavior influenced future deviant behavior.

The “Kim Kardashian brand “ is known for solely focusing on her sex appeal. Kim Kardashian is a sex symbol so it should be no surprise that she uses her body to advertise sex. Nonetheless her work is harshly criticized. Some label her as “tasteless” and even a “slutty”. While one would expect Kim to be uncomfortable with these degrading comments, she completely embraces her public persona and shows no need to reshape her image. In fact, in a recent interview with Glamour Magazine when questioned about her image she argued how flattered she was to be considered sexy. The Carl’s Jr. commercial Too Hot for TV gives a minor insight into one of the major controversies we face today. We have somehow taught ourselves that it is okay to objectify women, to sell products with sex, and to wrongly construe how men perceive women. Too Hot for TV is about a woman walking through an outdoor market, seemingly naked, while a series of men are caught off guard and stare as she nonchalantly walks by. There are a few parts that are made to be comical; for example, they place an apple in front of the camera where her butt would be, and we see a male’s hand reach out and pinch the apple as she turns around and acts surprised. Too Hot for TV is an excellent example of the polluted way in which we have begun utilizing women’s…

In this game, players control a trying big name who is taken under Kim Kardashian's wing. Achievement is managed by going to different photograph shoots, going out on the town with the right individuals, and inevitably acting in motion pictures. These assignments are finished in the same way: by tapping on related bars to show that one is performing that demonstration. Fairly fittingly (for the pessimists, in any event), no critical capacity or ability is expected to succeed at Kim Kardashian: Hollywood - simply the capacity to tap a bar when the game inquires.…

Looking back on Greek and Roman artifacts, we can loosely determine how the people that produced these items spent…

“Oppression: disguised freedom” "A girl should be two things: Classy and Fabulous," we have probably all heard this quote attributed to the famous designer Coco Chanel. I have personally heard many of my female friends praise it, but what caught my attention was how even in modern societies, we still come across norms and stereotypes like this surrounding the role that a woman should play in society. The roles we fulfill in society are part of identities that we acquire through the normalization of gender in our cultures.…
