We only know what we do, historically speaking, from previous populations, and what we are able to trace back through their writings, art, and architecture; all direct representations of their religious and mythological views and practices.
If we were to fast-forward a thousand years, what would that future society think of ours? What figures would stand out as revolutionary, and what objects would be revered as having been the most sacred to us?
