Kim Jong Un Pros And Cons

There is a system of checks and balances that are made to prevent the U.S. president to illegally order a nuclear strike, but a commander in chief is not able to be stopped if they try to order a strike. "If President Trump were to decide that it's time to put (North Korean leader) Kim Jong Un in his place once and for all, he would choose a plan that already exists. And it would be almost impossible in my view to override a decision to implement that option," Bruce G. Blair, a former nuclear weapon launch officer and co-creator of the Global Zero group. The exact procedure that would be followed has been criticized by congress Trump's experience and authority to wage war at a time of elevated strains with North Korea over its nuclear desires.

The Pros of a Donald Trump Presidency American politics have always fascinated me. Where else can you find a medium that discusses some of the world's most pressing issues, while at the same time giving you an opportunity to analyze American behavior as it unfolds upon a political system that has influenced many other countries, including the Dominican Republic. But let’s be honest, politics can also be very dull, with its insipid candidates, anticlimactic voting system, and laws worded in such a way that would confuse even Joyce. Thank god for Donald Trump!…

WOOSTER — A meeting with U.S. House Republicans and Vice President-elect Mike Pence has two area congressmen feeling upbeat about the new administration’s priorities. Republicans Bob Gibbs (Lakeville) and Jim Renacci (Wadsworth) were among those attending a meeting with Pence, who said President-elect Donald Trump wants to make sure his administration keeps its promises made to Americans during the presidential campaign. “It was a good meeting,” said Gibbs, whose 7th Congressional District includes all or parts of Holmes, Ashland, Medina, Tuscarawas, Stark, Lorain, Huron, Richland, Holmes, Knox and Coshocton. “It is an aggressive agenda, and I think the No. 1 thing is that we will keep our promises.” “The most important thing is Vice President-elect…

An example of this is that Korea has not mobilized their troops or Navy either. He states that “ in order to keep accidental war from happening Korean soldiers are to report up the chain of command”.(Friedman pp. 4) He believes that if Trump keeps threatening North Korea like he has he will prevent an “accidental war”. Harden also gives reasons why America and North Korea have not gone to war. One of these reasons is the Kim family past experience with conflict.…

Being the President of the United States of America is one of the roughest job someone can have. As we all know, the president is Chief of State, Chief executive, Chief-diplomat, Commander in chief, chief legislator, Chief of Party, and Chief Guardian of the economy. When presidents are first elected, many of them seem to have extraordinary approval ratings. However, many of those same presidents with high approval ratings seem especially to second term disappointments. In other words, these presidents suffer from a deadly disease many call the second-term curse.…

When people began judging president Trump for the idea of a ban on Muslims entering the United States, he quoted as a relevant historical event, World War II and the proclamations issued by then-President Franklin D. Roosevelt empowering the authorities to send away Japanese, German and Italian immigrants. In 1942, Roosevelt delivered an executive order that sent Japanese-Americans, many of them families that had been settled in the United States for generations, they were sent to so-called internment camps established along the West Coast. Trump described Roosevelt's policies as "far worse," but history experts have suggested the former president's wartime decisions weren't a good example for Trump to use at all. While Americans initially…

As the 2016 election approaches, the presidential candidates and citizens await the decision of who will be the next leader of the United States of America. Donald Trump, a republican candidate, should not be elected president due to his immigration policy. After reading the book Just Like Us, by Helen Thorpe, Donald Trump is surely the wrong candidate. The immigration policy of Donald trump, is not a feasible and realistic policy. The policy will not move our nation forward in the quest to repair an increasingly conflict-ridden immigration system because his policy is racist, he plans to deport millions of people, and it is simply unrealistic.…

As I walk through the halls, a distinguishable feeling tends to overwhelm me, tending to feel as though a cold knife carves away at my brain, a pang of slight sorrow yet with an accent of justification to offset it. This feeling of cold fame, notoriety, may become an addiction for some people; or it may even develop into a rusty gnarled cage that gnaws at its prisoner’s skin. A lesson that these people may learn from their imprisonment may come in the form of an idea, and now they just need to hope that idea does not follow them into their inevitable oblivion. Some of the world’s greatest thinkers have been plagued by this feeling, their ideas scorned by their peers. Notoriety is often a vicious cycle, taking ideas and shoving them through…

Almost seven years ago on November 4, 2008 we found out that Barack Obama would be our 44th president of the United States. Barack Obama has been a successful president; just like any president he completed promises, broke promises and compromised promises. Before Barack Obama was president he ran as a democrat and won the election in 1996 for Illinois state senator (Biography.com Editors, N.d). In Obamas presidential campaign he made promises on what he was going to do and change; he did keep some of the promises he said he was going to accomplish. At times we all make promises that we say we are going to do, but then we do not end up doing them just like Obama did…

Being the president sometimes you have to make decisions that are best for your country. Lincoln had to choose between making America whole and freeing the slaves. He had great reasons to keep the slaves and also a great reason to unite the nation. I personally believe he was more for uniting America for the good of the country. It is his homeland so of course he will do whatever needed to protect it.…

Obviously the president can’t be the only one who has the ability to use a nuclear bomb because if he/she were to be assassinated, who could successfully deter a nuclear war? So in that case you must give multiple people the ability to launch a nuke in case of an attack. There a few scenarios in which both the president and all of the known back ups are in the same room such as the state of the union address. So we can assume that there are even more people who have the ability to launch a nuke just in case an event such as the state of union were to be attacked. This is effective nuclear deterrence that is well thought out but what happens if one of these back ups to the president goes rouge?…

North Korea can be seen as a child. They have a small nuclear stockpile, and are trying to show its power by testing missiles, then making claims of having powerful weapons, and suddenly, when North Korea doesn’t get their way, Kim Jong-un starts making threats of nuclear war. Now is the time for the United Nations to step in and do something. Korea was originally a part of the Japanese Empire. In November 1943, Franklin Roosevelt, Winston Churchill and Chiang Kai-shek met at the Cairo Conference to discuss what should happen to Japan’s colonies, and agreed that Japan should lose all territories it had conquered by force.…
