Syndrome of decay, as explained by Fromm, is an extreme personality disorder that includes three sub-category disorders. Being such an extreme condition I thought someone suffering from syndrome of decay would be easily identifiable. However, I did not find that to be the case. Nevertheless, I identified one contemporary individual who may exemplify the symptoms of syndrome of decay as Kim Jong-un. Kim Jong-un is the current, and fairly well known, leader of North Korea. Kim Jong-un has demonstrated several examples of malignant narcissism. For example, he seems to think of himself as superior to others and has a preoccupation with himself.
