As one of the top 50 sports bars***CITE*** in the US, Kilroy’s Sports Bar has established a strong brand presence in the Bloomington community, and a strong image in the eye’s of the community. They have continually put in effort to distinguish themselves on promotion, and service among other Bloomington bars. Their promotion, “$3 Thursdays”, has drawn the most attendance comparatively to all other Bloomington bars (kilroyssports.com). However, they are looking to invest in any resources that will decrease the line to enter the bar, as well as reduce the amount of employee who quit due to the poor job conditions and working hours. With this knowledge, our project is focused on decreasing wait time for patrons, and conversely improving conditions for door staff and carders. In the future, we hope our solution will further be able to help Kilroys Sport’s by increasing their ability to keep out patrons younger than 21 years of age.
Our idea to help with the aforementioned problems, is for Kilroy’s Sports to invest in a prepaid card technology system in which the card is registered beforehand with Sport’s and therefore patrons can swipe quickly, and do not have to pay with cash.
