Kilo Class Submarines Chapter Summary

In this novel the Russians have prepared multiple Kilo Class submarines. They had prepared an order to send out seven of the Kilo Class submarines to China. China had already received three of these submarines. The real intention of having these submarines was to take Taiwan and destroy the American presence in the Pacific Ocean. The United States caught wind of this plan and therefore set a Black Operation to prevent these seven submarines from ever making it to China. They had to make sure this was done secretly to avoid possibly starting World War III with Russia, Chinia, and the United States being at the forefront. Of course it was all secret, though. The U.S quarantine of incoming ships is how containment was demonstrated but very poorly at that. The best example of containment is either the Truman Doctrine or the Berlin Airlift but I put all my confidence in the Berlin Airlift since it was literally a life or death situation and the Germans were counting on the U.S to bring them food and other necessary supplies. All the Truman Doctrine did was declare that the United States would “support free peoples” who were being threatened by communists.…
