Killing Kennedy; the end of camelot, written by Bill O’reilly and Martin Dugard is a exciting true story about the achievements of John F. Kennedy, and how his presidency and death affected the country. The book gives the details of how, where, when Kennedy was shot. It also tells of his personal life, particularly of his sex addiction and many affairs. Kennedy’s assassination put the United States government and people into shock, which the book details and explains thoroughly. Bill O’reilly who is one of the authors of the book is the host of “The O'Reilly Factor”, and author of the the #1 New York Times best selling Killing series. O’reilly Attended college at Marist College in Poughkeepsie, New York , spending his junior year at The University of London. He graduated in 1971 with many honors and moved to Miami, He taught high school history for two years before he went to Boston University where he gained his Masters degree in broadcast journalism. Martin Dugard has been writing books professionally since 1988 and is a New York Times best selling author. Most of the book is written in a present tense to put the reader in that time period so they can better understand the events as they unfold. O’reilly uses the phrase “little does he know” often in the book to sort of predict the future for the president. The book uses many pictures throughout to give evidence to what O’reilly is writing about like on page 249 when Bill describes the route the president took through Dallas. The book even goes into great detail to describe the the cars wheelbase(156 inches), horsepower(350), and angle it took to turn into Dealy Plaza(120
