Fitzgerald Kennedy, Bill O’Reilly published his nonfiction book, Killing Kennedy in 2012.
The book focuses on events leading up to the assassination as well as events that follow Kennedy’s death. O’Reilly gives details of the Kennedy family, events dealt with during his presidency and details of the assassin, Lee Harvey Oswald. There have been many debates and discussions over whether or not some of the specific details in the book are one hundred percent accurate, but overall the book is very informative and interesting. In relation to his previous book, Killing Lincoln, John Wilkes Booth and Lee Harvey Oswald are compared as are President Lincoln and President
Kennedy. Although this is irony, O’Reilly gives great amount of clear similarities and evidence to support his theory. For example, he states the presidents were elected exactly 100 years apart, their successors were both southerners named Johnson who both had served in the Senate, and both presidents experienced the death of children while in office (2). For example, Kennedy had multiple affairs throughout his presidential term and always seemed to “need sex”.
