The author style was very formal when giving the gruesome discovery of the almost thirty bodies they found in Gacy house in the crawl space. Even though I never been in a morgue when the detectives were inside Gacy’s home and he described the smell, I could smell an awkward smell while reading that part of the book. Gacy made a statement to one of the officers. “Clowns get away with murder” (Sullivan & Maiken, 2013, p. 90). This just made me look at clowns in a totally different way. I know not all that John Gacy dressed up like a clown and volunteered at the children’s hospital I will be giving all clowns a second look.
Terry Sullivan was very persistent in getting justice for Rob Piests and his family. Sullivan main topic was the two weeks investigation, the search of the crawl space, the identification of the 33 victims, and the trail and sentencing.
