New York City private schools have been playing a fun, water gun simulation game, called “Killer”, for several years. Many people think that this game may be bad for kids because it’s too time consuming and may cause a downfall in academic scores. But, this game teaches and holds good future lessons, it’s good exercise, and it hold good future lessons. One reason why this game should be continued in schools is because it teaches and improves good social skills. “Killer” allows kids to become apart of a team with maybe some kids in their school that they have never met. Apa.org states, “more than 70% of gamers play with a friend.” This allows the kids to become friends and bond throughout the whole game, while maybe exercising. “Killer” is also very good exercise for kids. When you are in trouble in the game, you have to run and avoid obstacles. This also gets kids off the couch, up and active. As parents, wouldn’t you rather your kids running around outside than inside on the couch with a bag of potato chips watching tv?

The judge is responsible for keeping track of all of the “kills”, making sure that the “kills” follow the rules. Leadership is also involved in this game, again with the judge. They are in charge of everything involved with this game. The players in the game are also taught goal accomplishing. When they are assigned a task, they have the drive to get in done.
