I am a kinesthetic, aural, visual learning. As a kinesthetic learning I learn best by hands-on activities, trial and error and real life events. I feel that if I try it out it makes it a lot easier for me. To help me retain the information that I need to be successful in this class I will use trial and error. Therefore, my teacher explained to me I was a kinesthetic learning I have a sense of feeling of it and seeing it visually instead of it just being auditory. I can use my learning style in college because when I am unsure of what the professor may ask, I may ask her to draw a picture when explaining. Overall, the professors at Broward College are very understanding. They recognize that every student learns a different and I really appreciate the different learning styles…

The strongest person in the world might be able to tackle any physical obstacle, but mental stress can be much more difficult. The nuance with mental stress is that different environments affect people in different ways, and in different magnitudes. Cathy Davidson’s “Project Classroom Makeover”, Susan Faludi’s “The Naked Citadel”, and Malcolm Gladwell’s “The Power of Context”, all describe scenarios with environments that are either stressful and negative, or relaxed and positive. An individual’s identity is minimally impacted in positive environments and drastically affected in negative environments.…

Insight We are all born without knowing what is good or what is bad in this world. When time passes, as we grow up, we start to face reality and get more mature. In other words, we can say that we gain insight as we grow up and start to realize that the world is not as perfect as we thought when we were little kids. Similarly, Candide, who lived in a castle and who had been educated under optimist philosopher Pangloss, believed that everything in this world was for the best.…

Everyone learns different than the person sitting right next to you. One of the most studied theories out there today is the David Kolb’s learning theory. Kolb’s believes that learning happens in a cycle that repeat themselves and each concept needs to take place in order for full understanding to happen: concrete experience, reflective observation, abstract conceptualization, and active experimentation. With concrete experience the person can either take on an experience either a brand new experience or a redo of an experience that has already been taken place. Once the experience is that happens the experience is reflected upon what happened to them and then capitulate what changes could be made to improve the experience.…

Kinesthetic learning is learning through experience from the application of your senses. I apply the kinesthetic learning style when it is available, such as labs for science, or on the job training. For myself this is the learning style where I can comprehend and understand the most as I will more likely be able to remember the experience. While the aural learning style is available to be used widely, kinesthetic learning is less broad. As a narrower field, it cannot always be practical to some things such as reading, or…

For example there’s a someone who you thought might have been a friend but in fact dislikes you, Would you really want to know that? This is just one small example out of many other scenarios where learning something could cause grief to you.…

Learning has the power to transform all of us. We have the opportunity to shape and mold our minds into learning whatever we desire. It wasn’t until my first semester of college that I learned what the six stages of learning are and how our emotions affect our learning. Emotion is the on and off switch for learning. It’s important for us to understand this process and how we learn biologically.…

One thing that all humans have in common is the fact that we are always aging. We are always learning something new and putting our new knowledge to work. As we age we become better at perceiving things, this happens because we learn new things that can lead to viewing something differently or completely change how we perceive something. I personally think that every day you have a chance to view something in a different light or have a chance to change something in your life. With perception, age does matter, because a baby isn’t going to be able to judge a situation or completely be aware of something that is going on as well as a human who is fifty years old.…

The learner objectives for the case study are clearly stated. One of the important steps in preparing a case study is formulating clearly stated objectives that specify what students will be able to accomplish as a result of the learning activity. The objectives must be observable, measurable, and should involve action verbs. The objectives serve as guidelines for content, instruction, and evaluation. Under the Simulation Design Template, there are clearly stated simulation learning objectives for faculty as well as for learner.…
