If you’re a teacher or a student, I bet almost every day you’ve gone to school, you’ve wanted to do nothing but to just get a little more sleep. There are many tardies every day because someone either lives far away or over slept. This problem can easily be solved. If schools would start at 9:00 and end at 4:00. This way kids won’t come to school half a sleep and kids learn even more education because they won’t zone out because of lack of sleep.

Lack of sleep doesn’t just make you drowsy and tired, it also be bad for your body. Pedestrians say that kids from ages 7-14 should have 7-9 hours of sleep. After regular days of sleepless nights, your brain can fog up, making it hard to concentrate and make decisions, and you would feel down and fall asleep during the day. If this happens regularly, kids could have mental problems because their brain is not able to work strongly like before. That is why most kids can’t do well in school. Also lack of sleep can effect your immune system. So if a virus, like the flu, is going around, you can’t fight off bugs because of no sleep. If kids don’t get enough sleep, they could get seriously sick, and their brains won’t be able to function in and out of school.

Kids often stay up late studying for big test the next day, finishing large amounts of homework, and a lot of activities. Usually kids get have a little break after school, get a little homework done, go to whatever activity they have, and then have dinner. Kids usually get done with homework from 9:00 to 11:00, depending on their homework load or grade. If kids have to go to bed late because of their homework, they should not be punished by waking up early to get to school. If school started at 9:00, kids should get at least 7 hours of
