Kids On The Street Research Paper

I am going to talk about the many ways I plan to get kids off the street. If there were less criminals on the street, there would be a lower crime rate in the world. Since I am only one person, I am going to start off small. In the city of Philadelphia, I grew up in a not so great environment meaning that there was a lot of negative activities going around where I lived. As a kid, my Father was really strict about my surroundings, he never wanted me out late because he worried that one day I would get my head twisted in these streets. I never understood why I had to come in so early and all of my friends were out. I’d always be quick to pick a fight with him. I began to start playing football for the North Philly Blackhawks at a very young

Realism, family having your back, and dysfunctional systems are connections I made from Stickup Kid to The Wire. The Wire uses a realistic approach where they tell real stories that have happened. Also, The Wire has characters that are ordinary citizens from Baltimore. For example, in The Wire, they chose to film in Baltimore, and they use characters that represent the police and criminals of Baltimore. Thus, The Wire radiates realism because the show, characters, plot, and setting all represent the struggles and stories of Baltimore.…

One issuing facing urban communities that I feel passionately about is the school to prison pipeline. The reason this issue motivates me is that I do not see a lot of resources in our urban schools. One of the reasons is that adults give up on at risked youth in urban school districts. They do not have funding for guidance counselors. The main thing that sets up this pipeline is that the zero tolerance policy we use with our youth.…

Every single individual person that is living in the United States today and probably for years to come das been affected by juvenile crime. It not only affects parents, siblings, teachers, neighbors, and all families involved. This also affects the victims of crime, the bystander, and the perpetrators. Reflection Paper 3 Hoodlum Kids Sarahi Reynaga MSMU Reflection Paper 3 I’ve always liked to pay attention to the way kids interact with each other and the way they behave around their parents, as compared to when they’re not around. At family gatherings I like to sit outside, usually in the front yard where all the kids are, and just watch them play. Sometimes they notice I’m there watching, and other times they don’t, and I’ve noticed that if one of them, usually the oldest, starts doing something that can be either good or bad, the other younger ones seem to imitate him.…

Being put on probation is another good one and the reason for that is when a teen or a child commits a crime means they have too much time on there and not getting paid enough attention in their lives if their parents can’t do then an officer with higher power can. Setting curfew and pop would be great because in their minds they 're thinking what’s my next move am I going to get caught what happens if I go to jail what would my life be like having a baby sitter around all the time. Also this would be good to keeping that child mind from illegal activities. And the third alternative would be multisystemic therapy. Getting family involved is a good way to get inside that child live why is this child acting out, what problems are they going through what can we do to help and how can we get involved so that our children can have a better…

Social class has impacted many people’s lives in the United States such as their income, education, status and power. Children literature includes books, magazines, stories and poems that children enjoy. It can be traced to stories and songs which were part of the oral tradition that adults shared with their children before the advent of publication. The development of children literature is difficult to trace. However, from the 15th century AD, a large volume of literature, often with a religious or moral message, has been targeted specifically at children. Many of the children books acknowledged today as classics can trace their origins to the late 19th and early 20th centuries which become known as the Golden Age of children literature.…
