Kid President: A Real Life Inspiration

Decent Essays
Kid President seems like a real life inspiration for people with disabilities to keep on smiling there's always some good. The way he rose out of all those people to stand out really proves hes something special if it wasn't noted before. Inspiration because he gives us hope to become a success and change the world at the same time, as well as overcoming obstacles. Brittle bone disease was most likely an obstacle everyday yet he goes on. He dances simply because its a wonderful thing to do, If ever given the chance to dance, it would happen even if the music wasn't aloud. My overall conclusion is that he is an inspiration and we should all enjoy life even with it's hardship because we are capable of so much and this president proves it.

The author, Paul Tough, takes it upon himself to write about what has and has not worked educationally for students in How Children Succeed. Barack began his speech by being thankful and acknowledging that his presence at the Democratic National Convention was very unlikely. This was effectively used as an attention-getter at the right time because it was an accurate statement, not many times in American politics did one see an African-American have the opportunity to be representing the Democratic Party on a national level. In addition, he explained to the audience his family background in which his grandfather was a cook and his father went to school in a hut. A situation like Obama’s was not similar in comparison to other candidates who came from different backgrounds. The fact that Obama grew up in a similar lifestyle to many American citizens, this gives the audience an assurance of his credibility because as he speaks to the nation, they are viewing someone who did not have much of different life prior becoming successful.…

A renowned quote by David Bly states, “your children will become what you are. So be what you want them to be.” Being a mother generated an undeniable urge, and willpower to transmute into a person that I decree to be commendable enough for my son to regard as a role model. Currently, my three-year-old son calls me and perceives me as Wonder Woman. However, when he grows up I am determined to have earned that entitlement.…

The Documentary “When Kids Get Life” was very touching and personally made me tear up. I watched each young man share their stories. It was easy to sense they all were fighting inner demons. Liberal Education is meant to cultivate students, which means it intends to help with personal growth, knowledge, skills and also gives them the opportunity to learn about a variety of subjects including a specific field of their choice. This sounds very much like the purpose of college and lower level educations. David Brooks, who wrote “The Organization Kid” explains his views on liberal education and its effects on students. Brooks argues that these students are extremely intellectual, very respectful and motivated but that their educational upbringing and expectations put on them have left them as nothing more than programmed robots that take orders and have no character. This becomes evident in his interviews with students from Princeton…

Just like Benjamin Franklin, who also believed that children were the future of a better America. For a better America, children must be educated as much as possible. In the 1700 Franklin after slavery was abolished new that slaves would not be able to live a normal free life without an education so he pushed for education for African Americans (ushistory.org, 2017). Just like any child if they are not educated they chance living on the welfare system for life and not becoming contributing members of society. The reason I mention all that is because I truly believe without an educated America we risk falling behind in the world, and altimetry leading to our demise.…

Even though children tend to be products of their environment, it is possible to break the cycle. Being in a position of leadership, I find it imperative to embrace the potential to make a difference in the life of others. Positively influencing one person can leave a lifelong lasting impression.
