The balls of the non-kicking foot can also pivot as the round kick is executed for balance and additional momentum and easier to rotate your hip over. Without the perfect angle speed and distance from the target none of the follow through will matter because it is known as a dead kick. A dead kick is a kick that has wasted energy. To calculate the energy akick uses we use the formula of energy equals mass multiplied by the speed of the kick squared. The round kick can be performed in different ways. The Taekwondo round kick is fast and significantly quicker in delivery for the fighting style of the sport. The round kick can either be done with the lead leg or the rear leg, the rear leg being the more forceful. 1 When a ball is kicked as a knuckleball there is no spin on the ball. This means the player exerts a force behind the ball just below its middle to give some lift in the air. Due to the ball not spinning it means that the air that the ball flows through determines the way the ball moves. The air pressure is neither high or low on both sides of the ball meaning that as the ball goes through the air it keeps a velocity that is relatively similar to what velocity it started with. The form drag would be greater on a knuckleball than a back spinning ball, because there is no spin giving diverse air pressure levels and creating a small air pocket.…
