During the presentation the client presented with some speech and language characteristics by using an abnormal use of pitch, intonation, rhythm and stress. The client had difficultly with the understanding of directional terms such as front and back. Another characteristic that was seen and heard by the client was a lot of laughing in the beginning of the session but later his laughter faded away. OBJECTIVES OF THE SESSION:

After finishing each section the client would watch the movie for 2-3 minutes. The clinician would use this sort of reinforcer to keep the client motivated into doing what he is doing, as long as the client tried the clinician would reinforce him with the movie. Another type of reinforcer the clinician did during the targeting activity would be praising him verbally, which is also known as a social reinforcer. The schedule of reinforcement the clinician used varied, when she gave the client a activity that is hard for him she would use continuos reinforcement and when the activity was easy for the client she used a variable reinforcement. Within the session, you never saw the clinician use any form of negative reinforcement (such as saying “no”), extinction, or punishment (taking away the privilege of watching the movie), just purely positive
