They should also give feedback at the end of a given unit of learning. The feedback needs to be constructive, detailed and analytical so the learners can improve their performance accordingly. This will also allow the learner to gauge when an objective has been reached, alternatively it can also assist them in realising when an objective needs re-addressing to achieve the correct grade.
3. Explain the responsibilities of the assessor.
The occupational standards required from the assessor are such that they should show a high level of integrity and a high level of quality that can be verified internally or externally to always give the same assessment outcome.
Employers will always expect a high quality of feedback from any assessment carried out, this feedback is the foundation of the students’ progress and is therefore deemed to show the progress of the organisations.
Assessors also need to:
• Assess all learners according to EAL assessment specifications and documentation
• Ensure all evidence produced by learners is sufficient to meet EAL
