Key Elements Of Resilience In Where There Is A Will There's A Way

After reading the article Where There’s A Will, There’s A Way, it gave me a better understanding of resilience. Resilience is defined as an attitude that enables the individual to examine, enhance and utilize the strengths, characteristics and other resources available to him or her(Harrington, 2012). Resilience is also described through five key elements, which are emotional resilience, spiritual resilience, social resilience, family resilience, and physical resilience(Harrington, 2012). An obstacle I have had to face in my life was going through a divorce.

I married my highschool girlfriend right after graduation. Things were great at first I could not have been happier. People told us we were too young and it would not last. Well they were right. About a year and a half into my marriage, my wife came to me a told me she had meet someone else, that she was leaving me to pursue her new relationship. Services such as writing center, drop-in tutoring, scheduled tutoring, offline questions, and writing practice(Bethel University, 2015). I really like the writing center feature. I will use it throughout my time at Bethel University, to submit papers to, and get answers back on errors I made before I submit my assignments for grading(Bethel University,2015). The tutoring features are going to be very useful as well. I will be able to ask questions on subjects ,and certain things I am not sure of while doing my assignments(Bethel University, 2015). The scheduled tutoring and writing center features give me added confidence in that, any work I turn in will be done to my best ability before submitting it for grading. Bethel University seems to really take pride in their students success and helps them in anyway possible. I am really enjoying my time here and I am looking forward to the
