Last year I was selected by the Kiwanis to receive a scholarship for my dedication and hard work. Now that I have the opportunity to run for office, I would love to be able to give back to the Kiwanis through Key Club.
For several years, I have been involved with helping the community. I have been dedicated to P.A.W.S. and the San Diego Humane Society, as well as helping the kids in the La Mesa Spring Valley School District. When I started with these organizations, I could not wait, especially to start volunteering. Now today, I am just as excited to have the opportunity of being the treasurer of Key Club.
As a freshman, I’ve had a year of growth and it allowed me to open my eyes to the world of Key Club. I have pulled weeds, cut box tops,

There are various reasons as to why I’m deserving of the Etna-Dixmont School Scholarship. The most prevalent reason is my family history and connection with the town of Dixmont. My father and my grandparents moved to from Massachusetts to Dixmont, Maine when he was in second grade. My grandfather bought a house on Route 9 in Dixmont, and some other land in addition to that. The Dixmont Corner Church was built in 1835, and had an active one room school house next to it that was built in 1808.…

The subculture I chose is the FFA which is also known as the future farmer organization. I started in this organization when I was a sophomore in high school. The organization starts in the middle school and goes into high school. My high school isn’t big on FFA, so I had to find out through a mutual friend. When I started in this club I didn’t know what to except so I was shy at first and didn’t volunteer for activates as much as I should have.…

Omega Psi Phi Fraternity Scholarship Essay Throughout my high school years, I wanted to change others more than they change me. There has always been this "guilty mind" behind my ears that if I had a way to help others with my abilities then I would do so. However, the knowledge that I am currently equipped with is very low and limited to what I can do. The choice of secondary education is the next level of commitment to reshape my community. Learning to write, speak, and think are competence that are deep within me and are ready to ascend.…

What do you consider to be your most meaningful contribution to Colleges Against Cancer during the 2015-16 year? I think I consider my participation in Relay for Life event as the most meaningful contribution that I have made to Colleges Against Cancer during the school year. I was not able to attend Tuesday meetings especially on winter quarter because of a job I had that needed me on Tuesday nights. However, this did not hinder me to constantly communicate to my other committee members. When time permitted this spring, I actively participated during Tuesday meetings, some of the flyering weeks, the production for Relay props, and the event itself.…

As president of my high school's Key Club, it is my job to organize service activities for our members to volunteer in. One of these activities is the local haunted house sponsored by the Front Royal Little League. This fundraiser for the little league started when Mr. Bryan Binnix stepped in to save it from plummeting. Mr. Binnix discovered that the program wasn't making enough profits until his brother, Mr. Bobby Binnix, wanted to make a change, thus they proposed the idea of having an annual haunted house. Since the first year in 2012, the fundraiser has raised approximately $9,500.00.…

Ideas I can bring to the National Honors society based on scholarship is volunteering for a non profit organization for an event that is held in the community. Spending time on helping others shows that not only you care about yourself but you also care about others in the community. When you work hard you don't expect an award the main objective is to make an impact. You show that making a change on an issue shows how committed and willing you are to spare your own time to contribute to an organization. I represent scholarship by being involved on service learning opportunities that are held in school or events held outside..…

As an honor student, I am always making excellent grades and constantly staying on top of my schoolwork. At Cross Creek High School, I am looked upon as an ideal student and I have set an example for the younger classes. Beyond Cross Creek, I will be a great role model at the University of Georgia for younger students to want to strive to be like, if not better. Not only do I exceed in the classroom, but I also exceed in the relationships that I bestow with my teachers and peers. Since I have a diversity of friends, I understand that one's social and cultural differences are what make each individual's personality so unique.…
