Key Club President Letter

The most important event I have accomplished would be when I won the position of Key Club president of the Southampton School District. It all started in September of 2014 when I took my first two steps into room 114. My life was changed. I walked into a room full of love and hope. The people who would later become my family were in a deep conservation about the ways they could change the world. This Was when I realized that that was were I belonged. Key Club is a volunteer organization that focuses on making the lives of children better. We do what we can to make children's lives more simple, easy. In some cases I have made a difference in lives. I have inspired kids to do more for their community and to reach their goals. I have helped them survive one more night in the frigid weather while guiding others through sorrowful experiences. I have worked to help direct them to choose the path that would lead them to better opportunities to enhance their ability to grow, succeed and fulfill their dreams.

When I had become president I was young, anxious and hopeless. I thought a girl like me, someone who had never done much before except volunteer, could never win. Then I heard the word congratulation. I was elated. From that moment on I promised I would be the best president that I could. That is a promise I will never give up on. These events mean the world to me and I would do anything to make them run smoothly. I attend these events to help people in need. Volunteering for community organizations can give people a chance to live.

There, I assist visitors in finding their loved ones rooms, delivering flowers and other arrangements to the patients and answering any other questions they may have. Additionally to my volunteer work, I have participated in Toys for Tots through the Del Val Cheerleading team during my freshmen and sophomore years and other small fundraising events.…

Obtaining this role made me feel confident by improving my communication skills. I felt rewarded with a fresh start by being more open and outgoing while socializing with other students like me.…

Becoming my grade school's president was a way to show how responsible of a person I could become. Initially deciding to run, campaigning, writing a speech, speaking in front of my whole school, eventually becoming President and doing my part in school government, genuinely shaped me as a person. This may seem like an easy undertaking, but to me it was a major step in getting me out of my shell. First, let me explain the way my grade school ran elections. The election process was to have those running for the offices of the President and Vice President, run together as a team, and to have those running for Secretary and Treasurer run individually.…
