Key Club Observation Report

In my experience, Key Club has been a sanctuary for all people. No matter from what lunch table you sit in or faction you reside, you fit in. Key Clubbers all have a similar interest in doing good for others, and thus have banded together into one large, diverse family. Key Club’s a blast for all the kids that are volunteering as they are helping others and making the world a better place. It’d be in my best interest to serve and support this growing community of volunteers.

For the 2017-2018 year, my objective is to become the KFAM chair. In St. Joe, we have a healthy relation between builder’s club, Key Club, and the Kiwanis Circle. I’ve already been part of two of those clubs (key club, builder’s club)! During my reign, I plan to connect the clubs more by

At the high school level, Key Club is a great way to connect and meet new people. But, often there are the same events recurring every week. By creating new events we’ll be able to draw in more interest to our club and increase membership. In addition, I believe that creating some volunteering oppurtunities that occur near (walking distance) or at the high school such as picking the weeds, raking the leaves, or cleaning up lunch tables will generate mre interest tward the club. In my experience, some volunteers are resistant to going out of their way on a Saturday to volunteer at a shelter for two hours. When I’ve talked to peple that are resistant to joining key Club, they have mentioned that would rather just stay after school for an extra hour or so to volunteer. By offering these school volunteering oppurtunities, we can show them how fun and what volunteering is really about. Helping the groundskeeper, janitorial, and lunch staff is a great way to do this. Cleaning up the school, helping others, and will increase interest as people won’t mind volunteering if its just an extra hour after school or

As a Key Club Officer I believe that I would be bringing numerous ideas and leadership qualities that would benefit the club. While I do not have much experience with Key Club, I have vast amounts of experience with volunteer work and fundraising activities. I have been volunteering at the Hunterdon Medical Center for a year now. There, I assist visitors in finding their loved ones rooms, delivering flowers and other arrangements to the patients and answering any other questions they may have. Additionally to my volunteer work, I have participated in Toys for Tots through the Del Val Cheerleading team during my freshmen and sophomore years and other small fundraising events.…

I am very honored to be invited to apply for membership to the National Honor Society. So many activities and experiences in my life demonstrate the key ingredients to be an outstanding member of National Honor Society. I love being engaged in school activities, such as band, pep band, gymnastics, vocal jazz, theatre, Swedish club, swimming, French Club, UWM Horn Choir, and I would like to join additional activities if I could. On a normal day, I come home at around 5:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. and work very hard to receive good grades (4.0 GPA). I was able to demonstrate Service by supporting the adoption of the dogs that currently had no…

As District Membership Growth and Reactivation Chair, I will make sure to work well within our district and reach out to schools that are potentially deactivating. In Membership Growth, I plan on establishing a goal with my committee and that it for our district to reach about 13,500 Key Club members by DCON 2018 in Oregon. By doing so, we will implement strategic ideas on how to increase membership throughout our whole district by creating effective advertisements for Key Club, tips on how to increase membership at a Key Club that is low on members, and make sure to share ideas with one another. I believe that the members are the essential building blocks for service at which Key Club strives for. For reactivating schools that no longer have a Key Club because they were deactivated, I will make sure to reach out the school's past or current Key Club President to find out the situation that they are in and make sure that they get the support they need in…
