Key Club Case Study

Improved Essays
As a Key Club Officer I believe that I would be bringing numerous ideas and leadership qualities that would benefit the club. While I do not have much experience with Key Club, I have vast amounts of experience with volunteer work and fundraising activities. I have been volunteering at the Hunterdon Medical Center for a year now. There, I assist visitors in finding their loved ones rooms, delivering flowers and other arrangements to the patients and answering any other questions they may have. Additionally to my volunteer work, I have participated in Toys for Tots through the Del Val Cheerleading team during my freshmen and sophomore years and other small fundraising events. Giving back to the community and volunteering my time to help others

As one of the three judges during the fight between Antonio Cruz and Felix Vargas, I believe the representative for the Boys’ Club should be announced to the audience. From what happened during the boys’ fight, Felix Vargas should be declared winner. Although both players were equally matched in skills, Vargas had more punches than Cruz. During the fight, Felix was the first person to injure his opponent. He trapped Antonio between the ropes of the ring and started punching his midribs with dynamite force.…

The Dunes Club in Myrtle Beach, SC One of the most admired and respected clubs in the southeastern United States, The Dunes Golf & Beach Club, was started by a group of Myrtle Beach dreamers. The first meeting was held on October 29th, 1947, and less than a year later the motivated assembly of peers managed to get a charter from the Secretary of the State of South Carolina. It is still one of the most well-loved places in Myrtle Beach, SC. Robert Trent Jones, one of the world’s greatest golf course architects, designed the layout for The Dunes, and did renovations (after many other upgrades over the years by others) in 1992. For example, he was the one who changed the regular old golf course greens to ones that were much easier…

It is also important for me to remember that my process overlaps with the processes of other girls who want to be part of this organization as much as I do. If information got in the wrong hands not only would it tarnish Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority, Inc. ®, but it would put the Xi Psi chapter at risk. I would love to be a member of the senior planning team because the senior planning team helps promote change within the school. I believe, along with many other leadership teams at Alpena High School, the senior planning team is empowered by the staff, administration, and other seniors to make important decisions that powerfully impact the school and senior class. Without the senior planning team, many decisions would be left to the staff/administration to decide and, while this is still an excellent way to accomplish tasks, it removes the student involvement in the school. I am so grateful to have a school that values student input because it teaches its students how to take responsibility for their learning environment. As a member of the…

I had no substantial idea what I wanted to study until an evening the summer after my sophomore year in high school. My mom invited me to watch livestream of Senator Wendy Davis filibustering the now-famous Senate Bill 5, which greatly restricted access to abortion in Texas. At the time I hadn’t even taken high school government and I knew nothing about the process I was watching. However, once my mom explained the bill, I realized I agreed with Senator Davis and her supporting colleagues and admired her strength in standing up against an unrepresentative majority. That very night I started thinking about how I could shape my career so I could help women like that too.…
