The term “Leadership” may strike some as simple with an ordinary definition, but realistically “leadership” is often hard to define in a straightforward, direct manner. Leadership isn’t a term but rather an idea that is neither black nor white but a multifaceted composition of gray matter. The idea of leadership is a “concept existing in the mind as a result of mental understanding, awareness, or activity.” The complexity of leadership restricts any individual from exact execution and effectiveness without having developed certain talents and strengths.

In order for one to have impact on any audience or group of individuals, they have to to be able to trust in the direction a leader gives. If your audience does not trust you or see a sense of credibility your message and your skills will have no effect on the audience. Honesty is coupled with being responsible, dedicated, committed, fair, vulnerable and holding a standard of integrity which will increase your level of influence as a leader.
