Amber Hufford Mr. Limone Composition 12/11/15 Albert Einstein once said: “Our task must be to free ourselves from this prison by widening our circle of compassion to embrace all living creatures and the whole of nature in its beauty.” Through this statement, Einstein shows how important all living creatures are. Human or not they deserve to have a life they enjoy. Testing on animals takes their joy away.…
Any cosmetic or medical companies will tell consumers that their products are the best since it has been tested on animals for safety, but the truth behind animal testing will make buyers think twice about their merchandise. Nowadays, more and more people are teaming up against animal testing. Laboratory testing is done on substances that make up medication and cosmetics, such as perfume, lotion, soap, etc. Animals are used to develop medical treatments, determine the toxicity of medications, and check the safety of products destined for human use. Substances are injected into animal’s bodies to prove that products are harmless to people, and the environment.…
Why Animals Shouldn't Be Tested On What?'' animals are being tested on, this is not right or fair! First, you see, animals feel pain just like us. According to Amy Cameron ''…
On average, about 26 million animals are taken and used as little test subjects for big corporations to test their possibly harmful, and occasionally lethal, products before they release them to the public's use. This testing on animals began in 500 B.C and many corporations that participate in it see no harm, and have absolutely no intentions of stopping it anytime soon. There are many people that think testing these possibly dangerous products on innocent animals is not a big deal, but this paper will inform the public with some statistics and also give you the writer's perspective on why animal testing is wrong. One thing that is very arguable when talking about whether testing on these creatures should be approved, and continue or…
Animal testing is not ok for so many reasons. The first I have to say is about the hardship and pain to the animals. Animals feel pain along with humans, so why do we test on them? What if a bunch of giant animals took you from your natural home, nearly starved you, then tested on you with weird equipment in someplace strange? Yeah, pretty awful.…
Animals all around the world are used for testing and research. People always wonder why people use animals. They ask why would scientist put these innocent creatures through something horrible. It has been proven that scientist use about 100 million animals for testing and research each year. From personal research, I have seen many inhumane things happen to these creatures that should not happen.…
Why Animals Shouldn’t Be Use For Research An estimated of 100 million animals are use in laboratories for biology lessons, medical training, curiosity experimentation, chemical, drug, food, scientific and cosmetics testing. In my opinion animals, testing shouldn’t be allowed because it isn’t right, it’s inhumane, cruel in every way. Animal testing is unnecessary when there is now alternative ways which do not involve the use of animals it’s also a waste of government money. Testing on animals is inhumane and cruel.…
A.D Williams “When I look into the eyes of an animal I do not see an animal. I see a living being. I see a friend. I see a soul. “ In our lives animals are the only thing that are there for us they don't judge us there always there when we have our down days and they bring joy .…
considering they were “God’s creation” as some will say (Monamy 10). On the contrary, British Lord Chancellor Francis Bacon thought that animal testing is an excellent way to learn more about our bodies and how it works (Monamy 10). However, this controversy made animal testing rise. An additional amount of scientists started using different types of animals such as monkeys, rats, birds, dogs, cats, and the list goes on and on. With animal testing in use, scientist found out how the digestive, respiratory, nervous, muscular, etc.…
However, testing and studying on animals has helped the development for several life saving cures and treatments for both animals and humans. Therefore, scientific and commercial testing on animals within a government regulated and inspected facility provides humane testing for biological advancements. One of the biggest arguments against animal testing is that it is cruel and inhumane. Many of the tests and experiments conducted on animals cause them harm…
Along with enhancing animal safety steps, another thing that everybody can do is try and find non-animal alternatives to animal testing. The issue about non-animal alternatives is that they aren’t always easy to find or reliable when it comes to possibly deadly drugs (Hajar). One alternative in particular has shown to be very promising. They are called in silico tests. These tests are computer-based tests that function much like a virtual screening.…
Imagine your family pet being enclosed in a small, cold, and dirty cage for days, weeks, or even months on end, only being taken out to be subjected to painful experiments without any anesthetic, as well as the possibility of developing life threatening diseases and injuries. Too many animals experience this on a regular basis around the globe - in fact, nearly 25 million animals will be used as test subjects annually. Animal testing is a horrible occurrence, one that brings suffering to even the smallest of creatures. Many people do not know the extremes of the effects of this practice, which are unnecessarily painful to animals, or that alternatives do exist, and that the results are not always accurate and time/cost effective. Experiments…
After studying multiple views on animal testing I have come to realize my personal view has now changed since the start of my research. Before undergoing heavy study into animal testing I believed that all types of animal testing should be stopped, but now I believe that the idea is very beneficial and should only be done when the rights of the animal are considered. In the coming years, hopefully, more regulations can be passed to ensure that all animal’s lives are protected during experimentation. Although most animals are treated with care and no pain is dealt to them when undergoing testing, it would be a lie if I stated no animals are harmed during the process. Animal testing is extremely useful in developing life-saving drugs and medicine.…
Now days, society can volunteer themselves in clinical drug research for a monetary exchange. With modern science “we can see inside peoples’ brains using imaging machines or test microscopic amounts of new drugs harmlessly on volunteers.” (BUAV.org the campaign to end animal experiments, pg 7) Humans are more willing to volunteer themselves for the money, but also because strict health and safety precautions are put in place for their well-being at all times during the study. Humans can also communicate their side effects and pain occurrence which provides sound and optimal results for future modifications and or dosages. Unfortunately, animals cannot communicate these important factors, which in turn is useless.…
Animal Testing Nowadays scientist create many new things that make our life easier or even better than before . This can include creations of: hair gain shampoo, delicious chocolate or impactful medicine, and this has to be tested for perfection. The people of this country want perfection and this includes people and animals as well. This includes testing their products on animals who are perfect for experimental study such as monkeys or rats. In reality, experimenting on animals will make our world a better place.…
