The business colloquium today was a presentation made by Kevin McCarthy who is currently an adjunct professor here at La Sierra University, a board member Discover Torium Science Museum, principal of consulting & coaching, president, and CEO of United Way. What Kevin McCarthy talked about was about resumes to it only gets you an interview, not a job. As he said in his presentation that knowledge and talent are not enough because of the competition in the workplace. Additionally, McCarthy said that the resume is just the first step to getting your feet into the door to be considered for the job. Kevin McCarthy also talked about to find the requirements of the job you want and compare those with what you already have to build your resume. In
