“Hard work beats talent when talent fails to work hard”, a quote said by future Hall of Famer Kevin Durant. He not only has my dream job, but also proven that with hard work and dedication you can get there. Not only is being in the NBA great, but being able to win “Rookie of the year” and MVP” is even better. Competing against different players for only sixty spots, especially if you're not in top thirty which means there's no playing time for you. But it’s not only about proving what you could do on the court, but also proving what you could do in school. Before any NBA player steps foot on the court, they make sure there school work is complete. For example, my role model Russell Westbrook, before being drafted into the NBA and playing with the world’s best players getting his education out of the way is very important. He succeeded, but not just being able to pass, he also averaged a perfect 4.0 GPA, so if he ever decided not to play in the NBA he could always rely on his education. People talking about me with Michael Jordan, Larry Bird, and Shaquille O'neal. People will remember me as the most dedicated player ever playing every game like it was my last. My legacy after high school is hopefully being good enough to make the team and get my number retired. Getting your number retired is telling you that all your hard work paid off, now a new future starts. But before any of that can happen my education was be completed.
