Kerstyn Persuasive Speech

Kierstyn was known to be very clumsy and fall a lot. This is what caused her to hurt her knee and use crutches last year. There were many more incidents were Kierstyn would fall. We would all laugh, but my favorite was last year when we were walking back from lunch.
This started one day at school when me and my friend, Kierstyn, were walking back from lunch. We were talking and all of a sudden she tripped over herself. She fell down onto the ramp in the hallway and started to slide down it. She kept her hands out in front of her, like superman, and had dropped her lunch box. My other friend, Lexi, and I burst out laughing and everyone looked at us. Kierstyn got up at the bottom of the ramp and said,”That was fun.” By then everyone around us were laughing. It probably doesn’t sound that funny. This experience had added another event to our list of funny things that have happened to us. This had brought us closer together as friends and we now have another funny story to tell people. I’ll probably remember it and tell her kids when we are older. I’ll probably never forget that day and I hope not to. It will my remembered as the funniest day of my life, so far. I hope me and kierstyn stay friends for a long time.
Another funny story that me and my friends always talk about is all of our “blonde moments.” I remember one time when we were at the fair and we were going to go see the bear show. We were walking over to it when I had asked, “Are the bears tame?”
Everyone looked at me like I was really stupid. Another time when my same friend Kierstyn asked if SunChips came from the sun. Her dad said they had ridges in them because she asked what they looked like. She then said “So if they have ridges they must be round.” But in fact they are not round, they’re square. The thing the makes this so funny is that she had ate Sun Chips before she asked these

Nina Jablonski's in her TED talk about race eloquently explained the differences in human skin color. For many centuries, the color of the human skin was the one feature determining the value of a person. For years, people suffered, forcibly removed from their homes, families and everything they knew and loved, and were sold as objects into slavery. They dehumanized, stripped of their rights, dignity, beaten, abused, and killed, simply because their skin was dark. Slavery might be the thing of the past, but its echo reverberates in or society to this day.…
