Kenny Nguyen: A Brief Biography

Kenny Nguyen was born in 1983; eight years after the Vietnam War. During this time life was quite dangerous and became a hardship on the Nguyen family. To make life better in 1991, the Nguyen family consisted of four (Mom, Dad, and brother and himself) decided to move to Texas. In Texas there was not enough room for his family to share a home with his seven aunts and uncles. It was then decided that Kenny would stay with his uncle in a village named Romeoville in Will County, Illinois until his parents were prepared to move out and be on their own. Kenny remained in Joliet, Illinois and stayed there until he finished the 8th grade. He then moved to Texas in the summer of 1998, to be reunited with his immediate family. Life for him was much better in Texas, where he stayed close with his cousins and his family. …show more content…
His first job was in the medical field as a Phlebotomist at Texas Health Resources. He attended a junior college for a two year Associate Degree, but that was not successful. Later in life, around summer of 2012, Kenny was able to settle down with his fiancé. Shortly thereafter, Kenny found out that his fiancé was pregnant. He knew it was time to step up and make a good life for his children. Kenny made the decision to complete his Associate Degree. After Kenny’s daughter was born, Kenny was on his way to further his education by studying in Computer Networking at Kaplan College. Life involving family and school were rigid for him, but he was able to manage the time for work, school, and family. Kenny received a job offer from Northrop Grumman after he completed his studies at Kaplan
