John F Kennedy Assassination Theories Essay

Great Essays
The death of John F Kennedy is one of the most infamous moments in the story of our nation. Although there is a version that is considered as what actually happened (and which I believe is the real story of how JFk died) 70% of people believe that Lee Harvey Oswalt was part of a bigger scheme or not even was responsible for the death of John F. Kennedy. On this research paper I will break down some theories and state whether the theories have some truth to them or if some just simply don’t add up.
➢ I. The cia killed the nations president
The first theory that I will go over will be that his assassination was an inside job. Although not by the government as a full but by the c.i.a, the cia was angry at all the changes that were being made

Johnson the nation’s vice president at the time. It is well documented that the two man had their differences both politically and personal. Lyndon B. Johnson really wanted to be president and I don’t know if it is coincidence that the assassination was done in Texas, which was Johnson’s home state. Although this doesn’t seem important it is when it is believed that Johnson’s advisors and people organized the trip. Attorney Craig Zirbel (also known as an author) has stated that the only way Lee Harvey Oswalt was involved was as the fall guy and that there was such thing as an “Texas Connection” in the assassination of JFK. His reasoning is based on what was previously mentioned that Johnson’s officials organized the trip and that the president was killed by 2 men. The connection continue when Zirbel states that the 2 men were most likely hired by Johnson’s associates in the oil business. This theory tends to overlap with both the theory of the 2 shooters and that of the mafia. Zirbel touches the subject of the mafia stating that Johnson’s people did have ties to the mob. Zirbel separates every theory by stating that Johnson had the biggest motive out of everybody that was mentioned in the various conspiracy theories. I mean becoming president is not a small feat and it is an extremely desired position maybe the most desired …show more content…
In the book the accidental victim it is stated that on the day of November the 22nd the man that was supposed to be assassinated was John Cornally, the governor of Texas at the time. This book states that Harvey Oswalt was the assassin meaning this book does not revolve around the idea of who killed the president. The reasoning as in why John Cornally was the target that day was because Oswalt felt like he had been betrayed by him. In the book it is stated that Oswalt had no problems with John F. Kennedy, and the book portrays why would Oswalt pick up a riffle and specifically kill the president that day. The main reasoning behind the hatred of conally which according to the book caused the shooting was because when conally was the secretary of the navy he rejected a petition from Oswalt to reverse his dishonorable discharge from the marines. It is well said in the book that the hatred felt by Oswalt was something of huge proportions big enough to kill

So today, this conspiracy still has a lot of skepticism among the American people. According to the writer, “Americans obsession runs deep as baseball” (Reitzes, 2013). Lee Harvey Oswald couldn’t have acted alone in one of the biggest conspiracies in the 20th century. The use of Jack Ruby (a low-level mafia thug) to kill Lee Harvey Oswald (a left-wing liberal) to kill Oswald inside of 24 hours of the assassination, convinced a large number of the public that Oswald was killed to keep him silent and protect others that might have been involed in the president’s assassination. When Jack Ruby testified to the Warren Commission, he was very desperate to be placed into protective custody up in Washington D.C.…

These theories give different explanations onto who might have assassinated the president, and provide possible reasons that explain the plot and reason for the assassination. On of the theories on who assassinated JFK point to his right hand man at the time, Lyndon Johnson. The issue that gave motive to this theory was that the President was Looking to replace Johnson as the vice president in the upcoming election. This piece of evidence is usually paired up with the argument that Nation of Islam really did assassinate Malcolm X, because they already tried to “kill” him once before with the firebomb. However, this cannot be the truth because of two very important things. The first being, that the director of the FBI, J. Edgar Hoover, sent this uneasy telegram stating, “Do something about Malcolm X enough of this black violence in NY” (Hoover). Just as as others might think, “One wonders, what that "something" was” (CNN). The second vital piece of evidence that proves that the Nation of Islam was not guilty of killing Malcolm X, was the bullet wounds found in his chest.…

The defense attorney, Robert Titus, asked Mr. Foster why he had focused so much on the dark complexioned man and not on others in the crowd. SYNOPSIS The anatomy of President John Fitzgerald Kennedy’s assassination has fuelled an increasing diversity of historical views, each theorizing different groups or individuals as conspirators in the plot to murder Kennedy, in accordance with their viable motives. Disputing what was deduced by the Warren Commission asserting that Harvey Lee Oswald, ex-U.S. and defector to the Soviet Union, as the lone assassin, prominent theories that have been devised include those which purport the C.I.A, the K.G.B or L.B.J as the perpetrators. The first viewpoint implicates the U.S Central Intelligence Agency (C.I.A) as culpable for Kennedy’s murder, with their motives aligned against Kennedy after the Bay of Pigs “fiasco” in 1961. The Soviet Union…

Lee Harvey Oswald was placed in custody shortly after and was informally charged with the murder. The assassination of President John F. Kennedy is a strong example of a conspiracy theory because many people think the mafia was responsible, some think it was the Central Intelligence Agency (CIA), and others believe the Secret Service was responsible. One popular theory of the assassination of JFK is the mafia being the people responsible for the murder. The motive for the mafia was strong because of the Kennedy administration, and its efforts to dismantle organized crime.
