Storytelling has been Kendrick Lamar’s greatest skill and most primary mission. Kendrick is a brilliant storyteller and makes it easy by saying so much in few words. “I been stomped out in front of my momma” in “Element”, the fourth song on kendrick Lamar's fourth studio album DAMN., telles his story being 15 years old and stomped out by three guys. The guys ran after they saw his mom coming. His mother tried to make him fight back to the bullies. The song sends out an empowering body confidence message by celebrating natural body. In the video it shows a women with no makeup, afro hair and stretch marks. He tells women to love their body and not be blindsided by what society shows. “I'm so sick and tired of the photoshop. Show me something natural like afro on richard.
