Ken Fortier Leadership Style

Although Chief Ken Fortier's executive style is closer to the one that I would probably choose for myself I believe that Chief Ed Davis has a more effective leadership style. Davis was able to involve and form a relationship with the community that he was serving and from what I have been studying that become a major success factor for me in policing. He not only opened the floor to them for help and decisions but he also looked to other in and outside of the department for help. (Cordner, 2016). He hired a management consultant to help with changes in the department and aquired help from Linda Hart for help in making changes with the community. He allowed his staffs innovations to prosper and improved the public's opinion of the agency in
