Ken Blanchard is a very motivational speaker. I enjoyed listening to the great stories and excellent practical examples he brought up in his talk. I definitely agreed with Ken on the characteristics of an effective leader. I believe that an effective leader is one who motivates others for self improvement and team performance, and is able to create a vision to guide change. In addition, this leader is able to adequately follow a specific vision and communicate goals in a clear manner. Once the vision is articulated the leader can concentrate on serving and being receptive to the needs of the employee.
