Kemba grew up in a protective, middle-class family which was willing to support her through her journey in life. This saw her family support her to join Hampton University, one of the prestigious colleges. She grew up as the only child in Virginia where she acquired her first education. After graduating high school Kemba was enrolled at Hampton University for her college studies. While attending Hampton University she entered in a relationship with Peter Hall, one of the most wanted drug dealer. This saw her life in the college change as she was subjected to both physical and mental abuse by her boyfriend. This relationship was a mistake that resulted in ending of her college life and sentence of 24 years in prison although she was not directly
