Say no to Same Sex-Marriage
Keith O 'Brien once said, “Same-sex marriage would eliminate entirely in law the basic idea of a mother and a father for every child. It would create a society which deliberately chooses to deprive a child of either a mother or a father.” O’Brien means that if there’s same-sex marriage it would eliminate a mother and father for every child. Every child should have a mother and father that way they do not get bullied or teased. Most cultures, families and religions have set marriage to be a union of one man and one woman. This is the way it is meant to be for everyone. When being in a same-sex marriage, it comes with lots of strings attach. Such as getting steers, bullied or even hate for it. Also, we do not

They get priority adoptions for obvious reasons they are unable to procreate. This causes discomfort to the heterosexual couples who are also trying to adopt a child, because people will feel bad about the same sex couples because they cannot have their own child. The article, “Children in Same-Sex Marriages” by Solodnikov V. V. and A. M. Chkanikova states, “Same-sex parents make use of the same tactics—very likely out of the best of intentions—when they have to arrange their children’s interaction with the outside world. Preference is given to association with children from same-sex families; the parents keep quiet about their propensities in school, when they take their child to a psychologist, and so on” (58-59). This shows that a child adopted by a same sex-married couple will most likely have it hard on them. For instance, when going to school, kids will make fun of them, or ask where’s your mom or dad? They will also say why do you have two mom’s or two dad’s? Making the child feeling uncomfortable and not knowing what to say, because some kids will accept and understand but the other kids would …show more content…
Same sex-marriage can get you priority, as in they could get children much faster than a man and woman. Same sex-marriage could lead to people threatening them and targeting them with disrespectful words. It could also lead to emotional and mental health problems causing them to suffer from issues like depression, anxiety, and anger. Marriage is a great thing that can happen to anyone ,that being said, meaning one man and one woman to join their lives together. This applies to any human race, religion, or culture. Now everyone who is not against same sex-marriage should think about if it’s a good idea to pass the same sex-marriage laws all over the United

Regardless to how one feels about it, everyone has the same right and the same freedom to do whatever they choose to do as long as it does not cause harm to anyone else. Same sex marriage does not cause harm to anyone. This is a matter of two people coming together for the sake of love who want to spend their life together. They should not have their civil rights violated just because they want to take a path that is not familiar or popular. They should not be judged critically because they do not fit into what has been known to be traditionally correct or politically correct.…

Children need both their mother and father especially girls during puberty who are more complex than boys. In most cases, children raised without a mother often tend to lack emotional security and advice only a mother can provide, and children especially girls who grow up without their fathers have no respect for authority and often engage in early sexual activity. It is also more than likely to occur that children who are raised in a homosexual environment tend to experience more hardships in life. It is also obvious that no matter how much love someone has for their partner’s children, there will always be a hole in the child’s heart, a hole that can only be filled with the other parent. Allowing same sex marriage is a burden because of the fact that it adds to the divorce rates in the system putting more children in danger of having a single parent.…

But further than this homosexuals have a good reason that if they were legal then the number of children who got adopted every year would go up. (3) Since homosexuals obviously can’t have their own kids they have to have a backup plan, and the easiest way for them would be to adopt. Even though many places won’t let you adopt unless you have a mother and a father, if gays were legal, they would likely be forced to change this rule also which would start up a whole new argument. But anyways if homosexuals were allowed to adopt the children who are without homes that would help get the kids a home, no matter how solid that home is. This is important to get all kids home even though the kids will still have parents of the same sex.…

Gay marriage is indeed one of the most disputable issues that has been raging from the past till today. In truth, the issue of gay marriage is of utmost importance as it concerns individual rights, especially for the homosexual community. Since the last twentieth century, homosexuality has always been viewed with contempt and individuals are often discriminated or judged by their sexual orientation. In today’s modern world, the biggest advocates against gay marriage are perhaps the people of faith. With the moral beliefs that marriages support procreation, gay couples should never ever be given the right to marry as they are unable to have their own child like heterosexual partners could.…

For children to grow up as well-rounded and complete persons, it is important to raise them while being influenced by their natural mothers and fathers. This has been demonstrated by the obvious hardships that are experienced by orphaned children or those who have to be raised by one parent, or foster parent. Unfortunately, the same environment that these children grow up in will be similar to the ones that children in the same sex marriages will experience. A child whose parents are in a same sex marriage will at all times not have the privilege of growing up with either his natural father or mother. The child will be raised by one half of the marriage institution who has no blood connection with him in any way and in the process will be deprived of a father or mother figure.…

Why? Being gay is natural. Sure, moral fundamentalists may think it is a sin, but who are they to deny rights to those who are doing something that is just as right as a man loving a woman? Gays couples can be models of family life, offering just as much love and support for children as hetersexual couples. Gender should not be covered by marriage law, as the constitution protects US citizens from gender discrimination.…

Destiny Quinonez English 102 October 28, 2016 Essay #4 There are millions of kids all over the world waiting to become part of a family and thousands of couples or families looking to adopt each year. The lack of acceptable straight couples, gay adoption can provide numerous kids with the loving home they need. Same sex couples or straight couples are a better alternative than the foster care system. So why not decrease the number of kids waiting to be apart of a family by allowing them to be raised by people who are making a big decision to cherish and love them through years that lie ahead of them? Adoption is the process of providing families with a child that can no longer be raised by their biological parents.…
