How fair can it get for girls to play on boys sport teams. Maybe because it’s not a law, everyone can play, so many other girls are playing on the same team as boys. It was never a law that girls have to play the “girl sports,” boys play the “boy sports.” In the article Should Girls be Allowed to Play on Boy’s Sport Teams? They stated that if the best of the best WNBA team goes against the worst NBA team, that the NBA team would crush the best WNBA team.…

With acknowledgement to the opposing view, playing time should not be eliminated from a child while they are young. However, players ages 14 and older should know that all time in the game is earned. Transgender issues in softball have become increasingly more aware in society, which brings up issues on the rules and regulations pertaining to the game. A transgender person should only be allowed to hit the ball size of their sex designated at birth unless they adhere to the rules and regulations pertaining to the league of choice. According to the United States Specialty Softball Association (USSSA) Official Rulebook, “men are not permitted to compete on women’s teams in USSSA sanctioned events” to ensure the safety of women players. This may seem a bit unfair, but when competing in women’s or coed softball tournaments there is a big difference.…

As I stood in line waiting for the doors at Chelsea Piers Sports Complex to open a woman behind me questioned the bleacher already filled with youth hockey players, the man in front of me answered that many of the girls teams around Stamford had purchased tickets. I couldn’t help but chime in that I was glad they were getting seated first and he agreed, saying he’d be happy to stand, the girls are who are important today. With the inaugural game of the NWHL young girls sporting sticks and skates have a new type of role model, a type of female hockey player that is not playing merely as a hobby but as a career.…

Have you ever thought what would happen if girls and boys played on the same team in sports? I don't think girls and boys playing co-ed in middle school is a good idea. Less people would make sports teams, it would cost the school more money to buy more and additional equipment, there would have to be stricter rules if boys and girls played on the same sports teams. This is why girls and boys should not play on the same sports team! + Couches have said that if sports teams were co-ed less students would make the team because they would need to combine two teams into one .…

The same holds true for a transgender male who was born female because of the use of hormones such as testosterone which may exceed the normal levels of men. This poses an issue of fairness for all players regardless if they are transgender or not. For example, Keelin Godsey who is a U.S. Hammer Thrower, identifies as male but competes as a female.
