I’m the youngest from my 3 brothers and 3 sisters. My siblings were born in Mexico, unlike me I was born in Elmhurst, Queens and grew up in Junction Boulevard. When I turned 13 I had to move to Kearny, New Jersey. I do not have any memories growing up in Queens because my mother was over-protected. I do remember as to was why I had to leave Queens. My mother believed that the education system was not great. She was worry about teachers letting me off easily with my grades. It was a constant problem for me to go to school in New York. My mother moved me into a school in Manhattan and she was not satisfied. She was persuaded to move to New Jersey when I was 13. I was not happy about moving into a rural area. In this small little town, I found where I wanted to be in life, with the help of two great teachers. I went to Kearny High school and graduated 2012. Before coming to Queensborough Community College I went to another community college called Essex County College. I was not happy about going to Essex County College but it was what I could afford. I started to realize how easy it was to get A’s and I noticed my professor did not care about their students. With the lack of education, I was getting in Essex; I decided to go to school in New York. In Essex my major was psychology, but after I moved to Queens I took a year off from school because I was unsure what career path I should really be in and I did not want to waste a year in school with an undecided major. I worked many different jobs and I manly worked with children. I instantly fell in love being around children and I decided to pursue …show more content…
The last math class I took was Math 119. It was a requirement for my degree. I am taking this course because I want to become a better math solver. I want to be able to understand problem without getting irritated. I expect to see the different possibility in solving problems and how to give a proper explanation to my students in the future. When I complete my degree; I want to be a counselor and work my way to becoming a teacher. After years of experiences I plan to open up a tutoring center for special education. I would like to become a very well respected person in my community. I want to make parents happy with their child learning and I want my students to leave from their classroom everyday with something new in their minds.
