Kayla’s Faith Statement

Let all that you do be done in love.
1 Corinthians 16:14

To me, being a Christian means believing in God and following Him. Our faith in Him helps us with our daily lives. He is with us always, and I think that helps people with their battles, but also their victories. God is with us during the good times and the bad times, and even if no one else is here to help us get back up, He is. Affirming my baptism brings me closer to God. I have more responsibilities in the congregation and in the world. God will help me as grow up and become an adult. He will help me through all the good times and the tough times that are coming. He strengthens and supports me. He forgives me and He loves me. I am moved by the unconditional

Rachael Held Evans, bestselling author of Biblical Womanhood wrote the book Faith Unraveled which have two parts: the first part talks about her personal experience of her childhood growing in a Christian family, her constant faith in god and Christianity. The second part is about the questions that aroused about her own faith in god and further looks for an appropriate answer if god existed and if Christianity is the greatest religion of all. Christianity And Buddhism

In this essay, I will argue that to some extent the Buddha can be seen as functionally equivalent to a god, due to the similarities of leadership roles in Buddhism and Christianity, but in actuality cannot function as one because that would go against a core principle of Buddhism. The term ‘god’, for the purpose of this essay, is considered solely in the context of the uppercase, God. To American Christians, the belief associated with this spelling represents their deity as a ‘singular’ being, a Divine Leader. The Christian God functions as a source of hope and provides a sense of community amongst followers regardless to their denomination of Christianity.…

I am a Christian, but what does that actually mean? I grew up in an average “Christian” family in the heart of the Bible Belt; I was raised to pray before I eat, pray before I sleep, be kind to others, never cuss, and not to miss church on Sunday morning. For the greater part of my childhood I thought that this was what defined someone as a “Christian.” Unfortunately, the word “Christian” has lost its significance in the World we live in today, and so has the importance to strive to live a Christian life. This has led to the stereotype that all “Christians” are hypocrites, which is opposite of what defines a true Christian.…

    Essay On Spiritual Journey

My spiritual journey of faith has turned me into more of a “mutt” than a “purebred” Christian because of the variety of denominations and international churches that I have experienced so far in my life. For starters, I grew up in a “every Sunday” church family. In fact, I was at church the very next Sunday after being born. My first church was part of the Assemblies of God. However, a few years later my parents divorced and we ended up at a non-denomination church, where I spent the next 20 years.…

When I made the decision to be baptized as one of Jehovah's Witnesses, I dedicated my life to serving God and I realized just how much fulfillment I could gain from living an unselfish and balanced life. Ever since I was a little girl, I was raised as a Jehovah's Witness. The Jehovah's Witnesses are a unique religious group with many elements that are somewhat atypical of a normal christian religion. One such element is the way one joins the group. Instead of the traditional baptism at birth or as soon as one is interested in the religion, Jehovah's Witnesses are baptized and become full members of the congregation only after associating for some time and proving that they truly want to spend their lives serving Jehovah God.…
