Katrina Joy Liss (AKA Lopez) was born on 9/17/1981 to Rev. Thomas and Joyce Lopez, Sr. (AKA Leibbrand) at Midway Hospital in St. Paul, MN. Katrina parents are a married couple. They reside in Grove,OH. Patricia stated that she is very close and has strong relationship with her parents. Her parents have constant contact with Katrina's family. Thomas and Joyce have four other children together, besides Katrina. They are: Thomas Lopez, Jr. , age 32, resides in Columbus, OH, Tania Felger (Lopez), age 29, resides in Grove City, OH, Kari Lopez, age 27, resides in Grove City, OH, Josiah Lopez, age 21, resides in Grove City, OH. Katrina has weekly communication, if not daily, with her siblings. She states she has a close and strong relationship with all of her siblings.
Katrina moved around a bit when she was younger. She considers Grove City, OH. as her hometown. She lived there from junior high into adulthood. She has good ties with the community as her parents, siblings, and other family members still live in and around the area. She travels back to Grove City, OH. during the holidays and a couple times a year.

They had a off and on relationship and then he disappeared when she became pregnant with Judah (2003). He never saw Judah (Judah was born 3/25/2004) and Katrina received notification when Judah was 18 mos old or so that he died in a car accident. They dated on and off for about a year and a half. They broke up because he had substance abuse problems (alcohol) and was in and out of jail. Katrina realized this was not a healthy relationship and had broken up with him before she found out she was pregnant shortly after. He was not willing to co-parent and insisted they get married.
