How to be the Next Katniss Everdeen The arrow whistles as it soars through the air and lands with a smack as it hits the dead middle of the target. People use archery in different ways. Archery can be used to go bow hunting, it is a sport played, or you can shoot archery as a leisure activity when you’re bored. The enjoyment derived from your archery experience is partly dependent on how well you are able to shoot. Accuracy is key while shooting archery. By following my directions, I guarantee you will learn how to shoot an arrow more accurately, and who knows maybe you will even become the next Robin Hood or Katniss Everdeen. Shooting a bullseye sounds easy right? How hard can pulling back a string and shooting an arrow really be? Many people underestimate the complexity of archery. These two steps are the most crucial for shooting an accurate shot. The way you release can make or break your whole shot. When you release your shot it must be smooth without a jerk or a flinch. In order to create a smooth release, relax all of your fingers and let the bowstring do the rest by ripping the arrow away. The final step for shooting an accurate shot is your follow-through. This is the most overlooked yet most important step of the whole process. Keep aiming after you release until the arrow actually strikes the target. If you continue the aim, your accuracy will be superior. Being accurate is the key to success while shooting a bow and arrow. If you are accurate you will be able to hit the bullseye, or whatever animal you are hunting. However, shooting an arrow accurately is not as easy as it sounds. How do you think Robin Hood or Katniss Everdeen learned to shoot accurately? Practice is the answer. It will take you a lot of practice to master the art and techniques of shooting a bow and arrow, but don’t worry the practice will pay
