Despite the fact that the rules of The hunger Games were lacking consideration for others, Katniss Everdeen opens into a survivor, angry, responsible, and a fearless individual. She is angry about the games; about the fact that young people have to die; about the fact that the government puts them in this situation; and about the fact that all the people allow this to happen. Moreover, Katniss becomes mature and responsible as she takes care of her family and friends. This is shown when she finds food for her village, she protects her family since her father died, and when she takes Prim's place in The Hunger Games. …show more content…
She loves her family, and friends. Katniss Everdeen’s character changes through the influence of her experiences in the Capitol and by fighting in The Hunger Games. As the novel develops she becomes even more focused on surviving for Prim's sake, but the challenges of the Games force her to choose between survival and her own humanity. Katniss understands the difference between death and human rights. For example she says, “There is no time to judge if a move is the correct one. When there’s hiss, I act to die”. Pg
