“The Hunger Games” is a series centred around war and loss, that sort of situation demands for someone to emerge and lead the battle against darkness. Katniss Everdeen, the one who sparked the flame, was the modern hero of this story. She seeks only to survive in both the games and the rebellion, for the sister that she needs to return to. Prim was Katniss’ beacon of light, she was the only reason why Katniss didn’t give up. That was shown when she made the promise to Prim that she would win and come back to her, one way or another.
