Kate The Great By Meg Cabot: Character Analysis

Kate the Great by Meg Cabot reveals that growing up is a challenge for everyone no matter who you are. Friendships may not last forever or as long as you hope. As you read the story Kate comes to the weinman's house where Jenny was babysitting their child. Kate ruined the babysitting job for jenny and gave her a bad reputation. “Kate I said the Tv’s too loud. It’s upsetting Molly. Kate looked down at Molly. She likes it.” (Cabot, 34) Jenny is crying on her porch when patric comes to her. “That was uncool of her, what she did to you.” (Cabot, 43) A good friend would not do this to their friend, they would not try to dismantle their friends first day of work and their reputation. When I came to middle school i thought that it was going to easy but then I saw that we had class rotations. In sixth grade I found it difficult to memorise all the class, where they were, what the teachers name is, what I needed to bring, homework etc. But over time I began to get used to the rotations, and after a few weeks it became part of me and was no longer hard. When I got to the age of twelve a underwent a giant overhaul of responsibilities I had to mow the lawn, take out the trash do the dishes, clean, get the trash ready for the garbage truck, etc. I thought it was unfair for a while until I saw the deeper meaning of it although it is hard work it is important. It sometimes took a lot of manpower to do a lot of the jobs like in the fall we had to rake the leaves and mow the lawn but we acheved it. In the end I saw that growing up is going to be hard, but as you work hard you could achieve what you
