“The Story of an Hour” is a short dramatic story written by Kate Chopin. It is about a wife named Mrs. Mallard getting told by her sister Josephine about her husband’s death. Mrs. Mallard cries frantically in her sister’s arms then goes to her room. Where she sits next to the window and has many daydreams of being free. But, Mrs. Mallard later discovers that he did not die when she sees him she has a heart attack. This essay is an analysis of “The Story of an Hour” giving a closer look at its meaning.

At the beginning her sister Josephine didn’t know how to tell her sister Mrs. Mallard that her husband was killed without giving her a heart attack. Mrs. Mallard cries uncontrollably in her sister’s arms mourning her loss. Then goes to her room
