Located in Southern Arizona, Kartchner Caverns stands as a magnificent tribute to the incredible power of water in the creation of Earth’s landforms. This cave is known as a living cave, meaning that formations are still being created within the cavern walls. Inside Kartchner, it is quite moist and humid, both being common characteristics that living caves share. Today, water stick drips and trickles inside the caves, shaping the caverns even more.
