In the United States today, there are a plethora of people that are tired of the normal. They want change. Not only that, but they are demanding it. Evidence can be found in the world of politics. The American people are tired of the establishment. In fact, they are angry at it. Donald Trump’s entire campaign was designed to tap into that anger. There aren’t only people tired of politics though. In today’s world, everyone gets offended about everything. This is why I believe that we will see a proletariat revolution. As aforementioned, today’s society you can find someone offended about everything. A large part of this is driven by social media. Even the most uneducated of people can have a prominent opinion if they come up with a catchy phrase that can be retweeted. Today’s society is so oblivious to the facts that they are willing to believe anything that they see their friend post on social media. He doesn’t realize that the people at the top are always going to be smarter than those at the bottom. That is why they are at the top. Even if the masses begin to rise up, they will be, for the most part, uneducated. Thus, the capitalist will always find a way. If Marx wanted to stop this, he should have included in his theory that every single person in the working class would have to be well educated in order to have a successful revolution. When one reads the classic novel, Animal Farm, they will be enlightened upon the fact that the lower class will always have too many people that don’t understand what is going on.
