Karen Branding currently works as the Senior Vice President of Public Affairs at the Federal Reserve Bank of St. Louis. She has been working at the Federal Reserve Bank since January of 2011. Initially she started out her career with a Bachelor’s Degree in Public Administration from Drake University, followed by a Master’s Degree in Public Affairs from Indiana University. Branding also as a Master’s of Business Administration from Washington University in St. Louis’s Olin Business School. She started out her career in Washington DC as a Presidential Management Fellow. There she worked on different assignments in both the Treasury and the Federal Reserve Board. Additionally, in Washington DC, she also worked on the Bureau of Public Debt and in the office of Management and Budget. After this time, she moved to St. Louis and worked as a Consultant for Government Affairs at the St. Louis Public Relations Firm, Fleishman-Hillard Inc. After her job as consultant she went to work for Anheuser-Busch and stayed there for 15 years. Branding had a variety of different positons while working there. She was the Corporate Vice President for Busch Entertainment Corporation and the CEO of Creative Services. Branding has also held positions at the Olin Business School at Washington University in St. Louis as Associate Dean and Director of Marketing and Communications.
