Many rappers and musicians use parts of other artist music to rap over. In Hip Hop this is a very common practice and with some artist it is more noticeable than with others. However, this practice raises many legal questions. Should artist be allowed to sample others work in their own pieces? In short the answer is yes. That being said proper credit needs to be given to the original artist. One rapper that really stands out to me in regards to sampling is Kanye West. It seems like he takes the idea of sampling to a whole new level in terms of what he samples and how he samples.
