Kanye West passion, creativity, intelligence determination, and ego have made him a cultural juggernaut. His spread of influence in different outlets of entertainment and culture has created an impact in American society. He is a risk taker who is not afraid to cause controversy and denounce society norms. Kanye West has challenged the social and artistic status quo by inciting controversial discussions on race relations, socioeconomic division, and education. In return for all his crazy antics and arrogance shown on the Internet or television, people get to experience what matters most: good quality art. Kanye West excels at creating masterpieces and pushing the envelope on what it means to be an artist whether it’s from music, fashion, movies etc. Kanye West should be on Time’s 100 Most Influential list because he has solidified his spot as one of the most influential artist in the 21 century.
Webster defines artist as anyone that is skilled and practice any of the various creative arts. A great artist has the ability to create something a masterpiece from inspirations that is found in everyday life. He or she has to create something spectacular and profound that can resonates with people across different backgrounds.
