SAN FRANCISCO–During a Democratic National Committee fundraiser at the historic Warfield Theatre that took place Saturday morning, President Barack Obama gave rapper Kanye West three pieces of tongue-in-cheek ‘advice’ for his 2020 presidential run.

The 54-year-old politician opened the event by tackling subjects such as gun control, healthcare and most surprisingly, Kanye West’s Oval Office aspirations, revealed during the MTV Video Music Awards in late August.

“In case Kanye's serious about this whole POTUS thing – or as he calls it, ‘Peezy’–” Obama said, referencing West’s nickname. “I do have some advice for him; there's some stuff I picked up on the way."

“First of all, you’ve got to spend a lot of time dealing with some strange characters who behave like they're on a reality TV show,” Obama joked, taking a jab at presidential candidate, Donald Trump as well as West’s wife, Kim Kardashian – star of popular reality television show, Keeping Up With the Kardashians.

Obama continued with another political pointer that brought attention to some mistakes that West should avoid. “Saying that you have a Beautiful Dark Twisted Fantasy? That's what's known as ‘off-message’ in politics,” he said referring to Kanye West’s critically acclaimed fifth studio album. “There are a lot of people have lost their congressional seats saying things like that.”

While evaluating the artist’s probability of winning, Obama even teased himself. “Do you really think that this country is going to elect a black guy from the South Side of Chicago with a funny name to be president of the United States?” Obama asked in conclusion. “That is crazy. That’s

President Obama’s Hypocrisy President Barack Hussein Obama is the forty fourth president of the United States elected in 2008 and he is the first president, under the constitution, of African descent. He worked his way up from the Illinois State Senate to the US Senate and was officially sworn in as president on January 20, 2009. Given his background in politics, logically, people assumed that he was a responsible, trustworthy candidate for president; however, his actions prove otherwise. His past work does not stand for his mental ability to run and decide for a country. Instead of his idea of “hope” and “change”, his presidency has brought the United States to the brink of ruin.…

“(We have) more to do for the young woman in East St. Louis, and thousands more like her, who has the grades, has the drive, has the will, but doesn’t have the money to go to college (Obama, para 6).” Interestingly, he follows this statement with an attempt to dissatisfy one of the commonplace arguments against liberal policies. Mr. Obama says that these people do not ‘expect that government will solve all of their problems,’ but that they are willing to work hard in order to achieve their dreams. This seems to solidify Obama’s ethos with the audience, especially when combined with the specific scenarios that he uses to exemplify the need for his policies. The middle section of the speech is dedicated to the 2004 Presidential Election.…

The soundtrack to the 2016 Democratic convention is not only to please the ears of those present, but also to excite supporters and potential supporters nationwide through multi-platform distribution, including, but not limited to TV, social media, and the general media. Naturally, the target audience is younger and more liberal than that of the Republican convention. However, even among Democrats, the day should especially appeal to a younger, more liberal audience as the three major speeches will be delivered by Philadelphia mayor Jim Kenney, Vice President Joe Biden and Senator Bernie Sanders who represent a position slightly further left than most ‘mainstream’ Democrats today. The ten songs to be played were divided into those for television…

Kanye West is a hip-hop recording artist and is notoriously known for his unique style of music. He left college in order to pursue his musical career. When he dropped his first album, “The College Dropout,” he rattled the hip hop industry by deviating from popular gangster and club music found in hip hop. The author throughout the article refers to Obama not as President, but as “Mr.Obama.” This essentially strips him of his importance and credibility and ignoring the fact that he was in a position of power at the time. Men typically use the title “Mr.” , unless they have a doctorate, in which it is up to his discretion to use the term “Mr.” or “Dr.” This norm does not apply to those in power, in which others use their position to address them, such as “King,” “Councilman,” or “President.” Binyon demotes Obama to that of an ordinary person, and since the Nobel Peace Prize goes to people who do extraordinary things, he claims that Obama cannot fulfill this position. His audience would look down on Obama by referring to him as “Mr.” and not a weighty title like “President,” asserting the idea that he is a common person and not unique enough to earn the Nobel Peace Prize.…

Kanye West is a fashion designer, entrepreneur, and most notably one of the most successful musicians as of today. Despite his inspirational achievements, Mr. West was once a college dropout with a dead-end job and a dream of pursuing music; however, many record labels denied his requests to publish his solo work. Not only being denied at first as a solo musician, West also dropped out of college at the age of 20 to pursue his dream to be a musician. His debut album, “The College Dropout” meticulously described his struggle to get his foot in the door as well as telling his listeners a story of carving their own path. In the album, Kanye takes his listeners on his journey to rock bottom as a dropout in his early 20’s all the way to him starting…
